Oh yeah, Spring Break, Yeah:)!

Well where do I even begin?  It's Spring Break, it's the week of all weeks, and I can assure you I will make the best of it.  I can't really mention everything because well I just can't.  I plan to party hardy.  Some of the things I plan to do is hang out with my friends and be completely irresponisible.  Also, I intend to spend half the time with my amazing, cute, funny, sweet boyfriend; Nicholas Aaron Icenhour.  One of the things I most look forward to is hanging out in the back of my cousins hippie van with Tori, Lakyen, Dustin, and Nick.  It is most definately going to be great.  Also, I plan on going to the mall to get my prom dress and I can gurantee you it's gonna be fly.  I am really looking forward to drinking Monsters until I can't drink anymore.  I am so excited that I can't sit still!

Our Game So Far!

Well our game so far isn't as good as we would like it to be.  We was off to a really good start but sadly our file got corrupted and we had to start over recently.  In a way this whole situation actually gave us more reason to want to try and do better and work faster.  Our group has a whole new perspective on Globaloria.  Now we really realize how extremely hard and frustrating things can be.  To have started over we are doing really well.  We have finished about five or six scenes and got multiple buttons working.  I have high hopes that we will get through all of our obstacles before presentations if we keep up the good work.  I hope that all of you guys will enjoy our final game.  It's gonna be great.

Game Topic!

We have really have put a lot of thought into designing our game in Flash.  Since our game topic is Adventure we decided to do our game about the whole section of West Virginia called the Allegheny Plateau.  The first thing that we did in designing our game was to draw it out.  We drew different areas and activities that you can attend in the Allegheny Plateau.  The second thing we did was to take our drawings and draw them on Flash.  If I must say our game design is absolutely amazing and I have high hopes for our finished game.  Like I have said a million times before there is still a lot of work to be done, but I know we can do it.  I can't wait for you guys to see our game!

Game Demo Presentation!!

In our game presentation we are going to give it our best and make sure to involve the audience in some way.  We are going to double check our game demo and we will definately not have any mistakes in it.  We plan to dress our best and put on our best attitide, and we are going to practice speaking loud and clear so that everyone will hear us.  One thing we are going to do is make direct eye contact to the audience.  We think that we will be more appreciated from everyone if we involve them in some way.  We are going to answer questions from anyone who is curious about anything.  I can almost gurantee we will have everything down pat when it comes time to present out game demo.  I really and truly have a great feeling about this.

Flash!

This week in Globaloria we have been working on Flash a lot more that usual.  We have been making a platform game and experimenting with the different things we are capable of doing with flash.  We started on Monday and here it is Friday and we are still working every minute in Flash.  I have really enjoyed this week and I really think this furthered my knowledge in technology.
Not only was working in Flash exeptionally fun and exciting but it was also very educational.  I have really became more and more familar to Flash especially this week.  I am going to continue to work in Flash for the good of our game and the effect that it has on my education.  Since Globaloria is based on technology and game making you will definately need to use Flash on a daily basis.  I've never really felt so good about something but I know for a fact if I continue to work on Flash I will have such and amazing, wonderful, breath taking game.  I can't wait for you guys to play it.

My partners! (:

My partners are Amber McClanahan and Tori Conyers.  They are my bestfriends in the whole world and that makes Globaloria so much better and easier for me.  Not only do I love being with them but I also am glad that I can count on them to help me when I don't know what to do.  Since we are so close it is easy for us to communicate and help each other out.  We sort-of balance each other out, what one don't know the other one does.
Amber is good at making buttons,  Tori is good at getting the buttons working correctly, and I am good at the design.  One thing we all struggle with is getting the actual game to work.  We all think coding is so confusing!  Hopefully one day at least one of us will overcome that problem and then help each other out with it.  Until then we will have to rely on our classmates to help us out.
My Globaloria experience this year is so much funner than last year because I have my bestfriends with me right by my side.  I'm not going to lie I am quite worried that we will have major trounle getting our game to actually work due to our not being able to deal with codes, but I know we will keep hope and have faith in each other to overcome that challenge.

Struggles and Success:)!

Through my Globaloria experience, 6th and 7th grade I have had different struggles and different times of success.  Some of the things I struggle with the most would have to be adding keyboard, drag and drop, and dealing with the codes.  Some things that I have success with are drawing with details, adding buttons, and adding key frames.  Hopefully one day I will be successful with all things in Globaloria but for now I’m just going to take it day by day and learn little by little.
I have really never been good at coding and I have honestly tried by best.  I think that if I keep up the good work I will eventually get the hang of it.  I understand that coding is a major part of Globaloria and I can guarantee that I will do my best to better myself in that category.
There were also some things that came naturally to me in Globaloria such as making buttons.  At first when I just had begun Globaloria I had to had to have someone show me once how to create a button and get it working.  After that one time I was absolutely great at making buttons.  It is very important that you know how to work with buttons because you will need them to get from scene to scene in your game.
Although there are some things I desperately need to work on there are also some things that I am great at.  I just have to stay motivated to do my best and I will pass this with flying colors.  Hopefully, I will be able to do everything that I cant do before the end of this school year.
